Condors in the Community: Condors join Kern County Fair Opening Day Parade
This Week in Condorstown:
Monday, Sept. 19
Colonel Claw’d and Condors staff were at Endeavour Elementary School early this morning, located at 9300 Meacham Rd., at 8:30 a.m. Colonel joined the schools morning assembly to promote the Condors fundraiser that the school is participating in this season.
Wednesday, Sept. 21
Colonel Claw’d and Baby Cal will be joining the Opening Day Parade for the 2011 Kern County Fair located at 1142 South P St., starting at 5:30 p.m. The community is welcome to come out and join the opening ceremonies to kickoff a great year at the fairgrounds. Saturday, Sept. 24
The Condors will be joining KS Industries Company BBQ held at Kern River Park from 11 to 4 p.m. The inflatable slapshot booth will be set up for kids to try, and Colonel Claw’d will also make an appearance.
Sunday, Sept. 25
The Condors will be joining AYSO Picture Day at the brand new Sports Village Park located on Taft Hwy., just west of Ashe Rd., from 9 a.m. to Noon. The Condors will be giving away prizes to those who stop by the Condors booth, where the inflatable slapshot will be set up. Colonel Claw’d will also make an appearance. Condors Kids Club!
Sign-ups are officially underway for the 2011-12 Condors Kids Club. Membership includes executive level tickets to six games, exclusive Kids Club Party with the players, a choice of a Kids Club backpack or T-shirt, official ID badge, monthly newsletter, free pass to try out hockey at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center, and free access to the kids zone all season long, a value of over $230 for only $10! The Condors home opener is just 26 days away, when the Colorado Eagles come to town on Saturday, Oct. 15. Game time is 7 p.m. Stay tuned as well for details regarding the Party on the Plaza, presented by the Bakersfield Downtown Business Association, prior to Opening Night’s contest. Ticket packages for the 2011-12 season are now on sale, starting at just $48.
