Condors in the Community: Condors join Village Fest this Saturday to benefit C.A.R.E.

Saturday, Sept. 10

The Condors will be joining AYSO Region 73 at the brand new Sports Village Park located on Taft Hwy., just west of Ashe Rd., from 9 to 12 p.m. The Condors will be giving away prizes to those who stop by the Condors booth, where the inflatable slapshot will be set up. Colonel Claw’d will be joining Hearts Connection Second Annual International Festival, being held at Yokuts Park located at 4200 Empire Dr., from 1 to 3 p.m. Colonel will be entertaining the guests who come out and enjoy local food vendors, arts and crafts, and a car show. The Condors front office staff will appear at this years Village Fest (formerly Brews in the Village) on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 6 to 10 VFp.m. at the Kern County Museum.  Fans can stop by the Condors table for their chance to win Condors tickets and get information about the upcoming season. Village Fest is an annual fundraiser for Children’s Advocates Resource Endowment (CARE), a local non-profit organization that supports an Endowment Fund for the future of Kern County children and local children’s charities. Village Fest will be held at the Kern County Museum, located at 3801 Chester Ave. Note: you must be at least 21 years of age to attend this event. The Condors will host their annual Select-A-Seat/Group Leader Event as well as National Anthem Auditions on Tuesday, Sept. 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. The annual Job Fair for game night staffing will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. All three events will take place at Rabobank Arena, 1001 Truxtun Ave., in downtown Bakersfield. Sign-ups are officially underway for the 2011-12 Condors Kids Club. The Condors home opener is just 39 days away, when the ECHL’s newest team, the Colorado Eagles, come to town Saturday, Oct. 15.
