CONDORS IN THE COMMUNITY: Fundraisers Highlight this Week in Condorstown!

The always anticipated “Tip A Condor” event will be held atHooters, located at 4208 Rosedale Highway Suite 100 on Tuesday, February 21st. Time TBD. Don’t miss out on this great chance to interact with the players as they serve your food. There will also be plenty of items up for auction and fun had by all! The event benefits Shriners Hospital for Children.
Another highlight to the Condors calendar has been set as well with“Ladies Night” to be held on Monday, March 12. Time TBD. It’s a special event for the Condors women only as they get special tours of the rink, instruction from the players and coaches, and have an opportunity to ask the team plenty of questions! If you’re looking to learn more about the game and the team, this is definitely the event for you.

This week in Condorstown:
Wed. January 11th:
Colonel Claw’d will help out the Downtown Business Associationduring their annual membership drive from 10-11 a.m. The event will be held at the DBA offices on the corner of Truxtun Ave. and L Street.
Condors D Tyson Gimblett will appear during rush hour at 5 p.m. on98.5 FM The Fox. He’ll talk about his time in Bakersfield and his future appearance as a sizzling single in Bakersfield Life Magazine.
Condors Insider returns to the airwaves from 6-7 p.m. on Fox Sports Radio 970. Kevin Bartl and Ryan Holt will host the show from Bakersfield and will be joined by Head Coach Matt O’Dette along with members of the team. You’ll get all the inside information during the show and will hear the latest news from around the ECHL with the ECHL plays of the week.
Fri. January 13th:
Olive Drive Elementary students will be getting a visit from Colonel Claw’d and the Condors staff to help kick off their fundraiser with the team from 8-9 a.m. The school is located on Darrin Ave. Fundraisers are a great way to raise money for your school. Baby Cal enjoys reading books and she’ll listen along with the students at Christa McAuliffe Elementary as Condors staff read a selection of their favorite tales from 1:45-2:15 p.m. The school is located at 8900 Westwold Drive.
Kevin Bartl will once again be a guest on the Scott Cox Show at 4:30 p.m. on KERN Radio 1180 AM. He’ll talk about the exciting promotions coming up on the weekend in Condorstown.
The Condors hit the ice at Rabobank Arena for a meeting with the Colorado Eagles at 7 p.m. The first 2,000 fans, 5 and older, will receive a Condors Jersey Coolerwhich are perfect for keeping your lunch or favorite six-pack cold. Discounted tickets for groups of 10 or more are on sale now by calling 324-PUCK (7825). The game is sponsored by 29 Eyewitness News, 98.5 The Fox, and Cal Water.
Sat. January 14th:
Come see the team for the final opportunity of the week as they battle the Eagles once again. The first 2,000 fans, 5 and older, will receive a custom Condors Cap presented by KUZZ 107.9 FM and the Three Way Automotive group. Bring your skates to the game for a post-game skate with the team. Don’t have skates? Limited rentals will be available for $5 per pair. For more information on how you can meet the team and skate with them after the game, call 324-PUCK (7825).
Sun. January 15th:
Another exciting fundraiser kickoff is in the works as Baby Cal heads to Victory Outreach from 5:20-6:20 p.m. The church is located at 220 Eureka St. To find out more information on how you can use the Condors to help raise money for your organization, clickhere.
