CONDORS IN THE COMMUNITY: Owner Visits League of Dreams; “Krush Cancer” Pack Now On Sale

CANNED FOOD COLLECTION: Thank you Condorstown for donating 2,800 lbs of canned food during our collection on Tuesday, January 15.  All non-perishable food collected was given to the Bakersfield Homeless Center.  In 15 years, the Condors have collected nearly 25,000 lbs of food for the community.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 29:

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 30:

Condors player Jacob Lagace will speak to the students ofLoudon Elementary’s ACES after school program from 3-4 p.m. Lagace will share details about what his job as a hockey player is like and let the kids see some authentic hockey eqipment.  Loudon Elementary is located at 4000 Loudon Street.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 31:

Condors broadcaster, Ryan Holt, will be a guest on KGET-17 News at Sunrise at 5:50 a.m. Tune in for your chance to win Condors tickets and youth jerseys.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1:
Baby Cal and Director of Community Relations Mikie Barrett will attend an assembly at Veterans Elementary, 6301 Old Farm Road, at 8:30 a.m. Students at Veterans has been selling tickets to the Condors February 2nd game as part of a school fundraiser.
CONDORS HOME GAME: GREENHAM JERSEY UP FOR AUCTION; KUSHNERIUK JERSEY RAFFLE
The Condors return to Diginity Health home ice to take on the Colorado Eagles for the second youth jersey giveaway of the season. The first 2,000 fans 12 & under will receive a PeterBoyd replica jersey.  During the first intermission, fans can bid on Goalie Scott Greenham’s Jake Varner style jersey. Proceeds from this auction go to League of Dreams.  Also, theCondors are holding a special jersey raffle for #18 Chris Kushneriuk’s game worn jersey from last season. For this night only, jersey raffle tickets will be $3 each or 2 for $5; 5 for $10 and all proceeds will go to help Chris with his fight against testicular cancer. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2:
Condors owner Jonathan Fleisig will get a tour of “Abilities Field” the adaptive sports field and playground built by League of Dreams at 11 a.m. Fleisig, a life-long sports lover, was born with deformities in his hands and feet and appreciates the challenges presented to kids with disabilities who also want to play sports.
CONDORS HOME GAME: SPIRIT OF CONDORSTOWNAWARD TO TAFT HIGH SCHOOL FACULTY
The Condors once again take on the Colorado Eagles and the first 2,000 fans 5 and older will receive their choice of a tan or black Condors cowboy hat!  Also, be in attendance as the Condors recognize the three Taft High School faculty members who succesfully disarmed the shooter during the incident on January 10th. The doors open at 6 p.m. the puck drops at 7 p.m. for more information or to purchase tickets call 324-PUCK (7825).

Krush Cancer PackThe Bakersfield Condors are now selling a“Krush Cancer” pack consisting of a specially designed puck, patch, & magnet with all proceeds benefiting Chris  Kusherniuk and his fight against testicular cancer. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5: CONDORS BOOK DRIVE
Receive $1.00 terrace admission to the Condors home game on Tuesday, February 5th with the donation of two new or gently used books.  Sponsored by Wells Fargo, the books will be donated to local schools.

 

HOCKEY-THON REGISTRATION NOW OPEN:

The 9th Annual Bakersfield Hockey-Thon will take place
