Condors in the Community: Players to visit Memorial Hospital’s Pediatrics

Tuesday, Nov. 23

Condors RW Stephane Goulet will be on KBAK 29 Eyewitness News at 6:15 a.m. to discuss last year’s Teddy Bear Toss Night and how it felt to score the first goal which led to thousands of stuffed slaptshotkidsanimals being thrown onto the ice.

Condors F Andrew Ianiero will be on Fox 58 News at 7 a.m. to discuss this Saturday’s Teddy Bear Toss.  Ianiero will be playing in his seventh Teddy Bear Toss in Condorstown.

Condors RW Stephane Goulet will also be a guest on ESPN Radio 1230’s “There It Is: The Jake Stevens Show” at 5:45 p.m. Make sure you tune in to listen to Goulet discuss his last year’s Teddy Bear Toss Goal.

Condors RW Pascal Morency, F Jean-Marc Beaudoin, and D Eric Burgdoerfer will visit Memorial Hospital’s Pediatrics at 2 p.m. located at 420 34th St. The players will be comforting the sick children who aren’t able to leave the hospital this Holiday Season.

Wednesday, Nov. 24

Colonel Claw’d and Condors staff will be at Fairfax Middle School located at 1500 South Fairfax Rd. from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Colonel will be participating in the school’s rally for kids to soar in academic achievements to earn a T.H.I.N.K Program voucher to Feb. 18 game. Fans can get into Wednesday’s game against the Utah Grizzlies for just $1, with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy to be donated to the Stay Focused Ministries Annual Toy Drive, sponsored by My 45, 98.5 The Fox and R&D Leather Furniture. One of the most anticipated events in all of Bakersfield is this Saturday, when the Condors host the annual Teddy Bear Toss against the Utah Grizzlies, sponsored by 29 Eyewitness News, KERN 1180 AM & Wells Fargo. Fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear, or any type of stuffed animal to be thrown onto the ice following the first Condors goal. Last year over 8,000 teddy bears were collected, with over 60,000 collected in Condors history. All teddy bears collected will be donated to local non-profit organizations through the United Way of Kern County. Trading Card Giveaway collectors set # 2 of 5 will be given out to the first 3,000 fans as TBTwell. Saturday is also a Big Buddies Night, dedicated to providing underprivileged children the opportunity to attend a Condors game free of charge thanks to local donations. Monday, Nov. 29

Colonel Claw’d and the Condors player who scores the first goal on Teddy Bear Toss night will be at the Society for Disabled Children located at 1819 Brundage Lane at 7 a.m. to help count and pack the stuffed animals collected from Saturday night’s game.
