Condors to take part in United Way Day of Caring
Bakersfield, Calif. – With areas of Kern County recovering from the recent wildfires, the Condors pledged to donate 10% of their August ticket sales to the American Red Cross-Kern Chapter wildfire relief fund. Thanks to those that purchased tickets, the Condors will donate $1,724. The money will be used to assist those who have been affected by Kern County fires. This Week In Condorstown:
Thursday, Sept. 9:
Baby Cal and Condors staff will be visiting the Bakersfield Play Center at 9:30 a.m. located at 1620 Kentucky St. Baby Cal will entertain the kids by acting out scenes from a book read aloud by Condors staff and hand out cool prizes as well.
Saturday, Sept. 11:
Condors front office staff members will participate in the annual Day of Caring, hosted by the United Way of Kern County, by assisting The Society For Disabled Children. The Day of Caring boasts over a thousand volunteers giving their time and energy to numerous different service projects throughout Bakersfield. To get involved with the “Day of Caring” event, contact United Way at 834-1820.
Condors front office staff will have an information table at Village Fest (formerly Brews in the Village) from 6 to 10 p.m. Fans can stop by the Condors table for their chance to win Condors gear and get information about the upcoming season. Village Fest is an annual fundraiser for Children’s Advocates Resource Endowment (CARE), a local non-profit organization that supports an Endowment Fund for the future of Kern County children and local children’s charities. Village Fest will be held at the Kern County Museum, located at 3801 Chester Ave. Note: you must be at least 21 years of age to attend this event.

The Bakersfield Condors will host their annual Job Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. as well as a Select-A-Seat Event and National Anthem Auditions on Thursday, Sept. 16 from 3-7 p.m. All three events will take place at Rabobank Arena. Condors Kids Club:
Sign-ups are officially underway for the 2010-11 Condors Kids Club. Membership includes tickets to six games, Kids Club backpack, official ID badge, exclusive Kids Club Party with the players and free access to the kids zone all season long, a $160 value for only $20!
