TONIGHT

The Condors host the Alaska Aces tonight for the seventh meetingvs alaskabetween the two teams. Bakersfield is 1-3-2-0 this season against the Aces including a shutout victory in Anchorage on Nov. 2.The series has featured one shutout for each side and two overtime contests. After tonight, the season series will shift to Anchorage for the next three games in mid-February.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield, with G Bryan Pitton in between the pipes, was impressive in a 1-0 shutout of the Utah Grizzlies last Friday, Jan. 20. Pitton made 38 saves, including a Condors season-high 21 saves in the third period to earn the victory. C Aaron Lewadniuk, who has three points (1g-2a) in four games with Bakersfield, notched the only goal of the game, midway through the second period. It was the first time the Condors won a 1-0 since defeating Jan. 22, 2011 against Las Vegas.

Alaska wrapped up an 11-game home stand with a 6-3 victory over Idaho on Saturday, Jan. 21. All told, the Aces went 10-1-0-0 on the nearly month-long stay at Sullivan Arena, which began on Dec. 28. They will play their next 11 games on the road and will not see Anchorage until the Condors pay a visit from February 17-19.

CONDORS NOTES
The Condors have earned at least a point in three of the six games with Alaska…G Bryan Pitton’s shutout of Utah was the second of the season for Bakersfield. Both have come on the road including a 4-0 blanking of Alaska on 11/2. He is 2-2-0 in 2012 with a 2.03 GAA and a .936 sv%…F Tyler Helfrich has had two different sets of five-game point streaks over the last 13 games.

ACES NOTES
The Aces are 10-1-0-0 over their last 11 games, all coming on home ice…F Wes Goldie is 2nd in the ECHL with 23 goals. He’s 5th in the league with 45 points…F Dan Kissel has fired the most shots in the league, 174…The three highest active players in plus-minus are all Aces (Mazzolini, Ward, Lafranchise)…G Adam Courchaine leads the ECHL with a 1.75 GAA and a .931 sv%.
