TONIGHT
The Bakersfield Condors wrap up their three-game series against the Idaho Steelheads tonight. The two clubs split the previous meetings on the weekend, with the Condors taking a 4-3 overtime victory on Thursday, and Idaho holding on for a 4-3 win last night. This is the vs idahofourth and final meeting between the teams here in Bakersfield this season, with a three-game series in Idaho in March filling out the remainder of the head-to-head schedule.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
The Condors nearly put together a second straight three-goal rally against Idaho, but fell 4-3 in regulation. The Steelheads held a 4-1 lead after two periods – with all five goals coming in the middle frame – and Bakersfield scored twice in the third to make it close. But G Jimmy Spratt held them at bay, making 38 saves en route to his fourth win of the season. LW Matt Marquardt scored twice on the night for Bakersfield in the losing effort.

ROOKIES

The Condors roster features the two highest scoring rookies in the ECHL with C Mathew Sisca and RW Scott Freeman. Freeman’s 18 points (9g, 9a) lead the entire league, while Sisca’s 13 points (4g, 9a) are second among first-year players. The duo are tied for the rookie lead in assists as well, while Freeman also leads all rookies in goals. They are also 1st (Freeman) and 3rd (Sisca) in shots, and tied for second with a +8 plus/minus rating.
