Jake Varner Jersey helps “Krush Cancer”

After the game, a Chris Kushneriuk “Jake Varner-style” jersey was auctioned off separately, with the proceeds going directly toward the Condors winger Chris Kushneriuk to help with his medical bills as he battles cancer. The jersey brought in a staggering $5,000, just $200 shy of the all-time Condors jersey auction record. Kushneriuk, who played last season in Bakersfield and re-signed with the club over the summer, was diagnosed with testicular cancer late last summer and has been in treatment since. He is currently in the States receiving chemotherapy in preparation for surgery, and in the process absorbing extraordinary medical bills.
