Tonight’s match up:
The Condors and Steelheads open up a three-game series tonight, the final three games of the season series. Bakersfield holds a 4-2-1-0 record against Idaho this season, including 1-1-0-0 at home. The Steelheads are in third place in the Western Conference, but hold just a three-point lead over the fifth-place Condors in the standings. The Condors and Steelheads have met up 108 times since the 1997-98 season, with the Condors holding a 42-54-11 vs idahooverall mark. Bakersfield’s magic number to clinch a playoff spot is seven points (either points gained by the Condors, or points the Ontario Reign fail to gain).

Condors misc:
The Condors have won seven of their last nine games, climbing to 5th in the Western Conference and within two points of the 4th place Stockton Thunder… RW Stephane Goulet’s hat trick on Saturday was the second of the season for Bakersfield. RW Pascal Morency recorded the other on Nov. 3 against Alaska… The Condors begin a 9-game home stand today, which is the longest in Condors/Fog franchise history… F Tibor Varga scored his first ECHL goal on Friday. The goal was scored at 12:32 of the second period, and was the first for the Condors in 104:38 minutes, following a shutout in Victoria last Wednesday… When leading after two periods of play, the Condors are 24-0-1.

G Manny Martinez was added as an Emergency Back-Up Goaltender today… C Joel Broda was recalled by Houston (AHL) on Mar. 3… D Joey Ryan was activated from 3-day IR on Mar. 2… G Josh Tordjman was recalled by Houston (AHL) on Mar. 1… LW Brad Snetsinger remains in the AHL with Binghamton, after a recall on Feb. 23.
