Brossoit named to All-ECHL Second Team
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, announced today that G Laurent Brossoit, who yesterday was named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team, has been named to the All-ECHL Second Team.
He is the first Condor in team history to be named to both teams, the first Condors netminder to be named to either the first or second All-ECHL teams, and is the third Condor to be named to the All-ECHL Second Team joining F Dave Bonk and F Mark Derlago who both were named to the 2008-09 team.
BROSSOIT – stats; 21 years old from Surrey, British Columbia
- Has made 36 appearances with a record of 24-9-2, a 2.05
goals-against average (GAA), and a .924 save percentage - Among all ECHL goalies: T-1st wins (24), 1st shutouts (8), 2nd GAA (2.05), t-2ndsv% (.924)
- His eight shutouts tied an ECHL single-season record only accomplished by two other goalies in the league’s 26-year history
- His three consecutive shutouts from Nov. 2 – Dec. 18 and his 211:17 shutout streak ranks fourth all-time
- Six shutouts as a member of the Condors shatters the team’s career record of four
- Named ECHL Goaltender of the Week on three occasions (Nov. 3, Dec. 29, & Jan. 19)
- Under NHL contract with the Edmonton Oilers
