JACK CAMPBELL ASSIGNED TO BAKERSFIELD
CALVIN PICKARD RECALLED BY EDMONTON
The Edmonton Oilers assigned goaltender Jack Campbell and recalled goaltender Calvin Pickard in two moves before the Condors eight-day, four-game road trip in Western Canada.
Campbell, 31, is in year two of a five-year NHL deal with the Oilers and appeared in four Stanley Cup Playoffs games a season ago while going 21-9-4 in the regular season. It came a year after winning 31 with Toronto in 2021-22 as a member of the Maple Leafs.
Pickard, 31, is in his second season with the Oilers organization and earns his second recall to Edmonton. With the Condors this year, the Winnipeg native sports a 2-2-0 record with a 2.03 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage. He finished seventh in the AHL in wins last season with 23 despite missing over five weeks with injury.
Bakersfield is in Abbotsford on Thursday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Calgary on Tuesday and Wednesday at 6 p.m. You can catch all the action on AM 800 Fox Sports Radio, the iHeartRadio App, and AHLTV.com.
