The Condors schedule of 36 home and 36 road games also includes a brand-new member of the ECHL’s Western Conference. The Colorado Eagles, formerly of the Central Hockey League, play at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo., just north of Denver. They will be a part of the Mountain Division and will be the Condors opponent for the home opener. The Eagles, who lost the CHL championship last week in Game 7, will come to Condorstown seven times this season.
The Condors most frequent opponent this season is the Stockton Thunder, whom they will play 13 times, plus twice during preseason action at Stockton on Oct. 7 and at home on Oct. 8. Stockton will also visit Bakersfield more than any other team, with eight games at Rabobank Arena.
March is the busiest month for the Condors, with 15 total games, and Saturday is the busiest night, with 13 home games. The Condors will not host a single Sunday game in 2011-12, but will play six road games on Sundays. The longest home stand of the season is six games, from Jan. 25 – Feb. 4, in which they will host four different teams. The longest road trip of the season is five games, made in December and again in March.
Bakersfield will open the regular season with just three home games in their first 11 contests, including visits to four different cities. But they will close the regular season with seven home games in their last 10. Other games of note include the annual Field Trip Day game on Nov. 15 vs. Stockton, and Teddy Bear Toss Night on Nov. 26 vs. Ontario.
