Condors hit the ice in preseason action this Saturday; Promotional Schedule for full season announced
Bakersfield, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, host of the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Classic and ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, will give fans a taste of preseason action this Saturday, Oct. 9, on the Mercy and Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena where they take on the rival Las Vegas Wranglers. The doors open at 6 p.m., the puck drops at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the game are currently available, with all lower level seats for the game on sale for only $10. Upper bowl seats can be purchased for $5. on the day of the 
game tickets will be $11 and $6 respectively. Single game tickets for the 2010-11 regular season will go on sale this Saturday as well. The box office will open at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, or ticket can be purchesd through ticketmaster by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or at bakersfieldcondors.com. This is the second and final preseason game, as the Condors head to Vegas on Thursday, Oct. 7 for their preseason opener.
The Condors kick off the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 16 and will be handing out Pacific Division Championship Flags to the first 3,000 people through the doors. The flags commemorate the first division championship in Condors history, and are replicas of the actual banner to be unveiled Opening Night. Condors other giveaways are also spread throughout the season. On Friday, Nov. 19, the first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive the first of five collector sets of trading cards. The Condors will also be giving away iPads to ten lucky Grand Prize winners on Jan. 8. Friday, Feb. 4, is Youth Jersey Giveaway, and the schedule is rounded out in March, with Skateboard Deck giveaway on the 18th.
Plenty of special appearances fill the schedule as well. Saturday, Nov. 20 features the first ever appearance by Chargers Girls at Rabobank Arena, as well as a skate with the team event following the game. On Friday, Jan. 7, one of the most exciting promotions of the year comes to Condorstown as Eating Champion Takeru Kobayashi will participate in a hot dog eating contest while $1 hot dogs are available to the fans. The ever-popular ZOOperstars will be at the Condors game on Feb. 25, and March is highlighted with Hockey-thon on the 19th, and a SpongeBob Squarepants appearance on the 26th.
