Condors overpowered by Aces, 4-1
ANCHORAGE, Alaska – A shorthanded Bakersfield Condors (21-20-1-1, 44pts) team dropped a 4-1 decision at the hands of the Alaska Aces (24-15-2-0, 50pts) in front of 5,002 fans at Sullivan Arena on Saturday Night.
Neither team was able to notch a goal in the first period, as G Josh Tordjman turned aside all 12 shots from the Aces. In the second period, RW Stephane Goulet gave the Condors the lead, popping a rebound to put the Condors up 1-0. RW Wes Goldie evened the score with his third goal in the past two games on the power play at 15:40. The teams skated to a 1-1 tie at the end of two periods.
Alaska took control of the game in the third period, notching a goal 24 seconds into the period when F Zach Harrison scored the Aces lone even strength goal of the night. LW Scott Howes and D Bryan Miller also added goals in the third, as the Aces scored four straight goals to defeat the Condors 4-1.

The Condors had six players suspended following the brawl that ignited at the conclusion of last night’s contest. RW Erick Lizon, D Joe Rullier, D Joey Ryan, C Joel Broda, F Slava Trukhno, and LW Guillaume Lefebvre all were suspended. Due to roster retrictions, Broda was allowed to play tonight and will serve his suspension tomorrow… Th Condors set a franchise record for penalty minutes in a game with 162… Erick Lizon set a franchise record for most PIM in a game with 40… Power plays: BAK: 0/5, AK: 3/8… Three Stars: 1.
