Lunch Box Giveaway and Skate with the Team the day after Christmas
Condors play back-to-back games at home on Dec. 26 and 27
Bakersfield, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, host of the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Classic and ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, bring their four-game winning streak back to the Mercy and Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena to host the Stockton Thunder on Dec. 26 and 27.
On Sunday, Dec. 26, the Condors host Stockton for Lunch Box Tin Giveaway, sponsored by ABC23, La Preciosa 105.3, and American Business Machines. The first 2,000 kids age 12 and under will receive a Condors Tin Lunch Box. The Condors will also be holding a Boxing Day Collection, where fans can celebrate Canadian Boxing Day by boxing up their items to donate to Goodwill Industries.
Boxing Day is celebrated on Dec. 26 in Canada, as well as many European nations. Traditionally, it is a time to remember those in need. The holidays bring about new gifts, and empty boxes, so pack up some old items and donate them at the game. It is also customary to attend sporting events!
Following the game on Sunday hit the ice for a Skate with the Condors. Fans are invited to bring their skates, and join the Condors on the ice at Rabobank Arena immediately following the game. Limited skate rental is available for $5 per pair.
On Monday, the Condors are hosting High School/College ID night, courtesy of My 45 and La Campesina 92.5. All college and high school students can purchase $1.00 lower level tickets by presenting their student ID at the Box Office.
Following every home game, players will be available at the Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center Autograph Booth, located on the arena concourse behind section 108. LW Kyle Calder, and D Jay Cascalenda will be available on Sunday, and D Joey Ryan and LW J.D. Corbin will take their places on Monday. Players will be available approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of each contest to greet fans and sign autographs.
Both games this week can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 970 AM, with the Goose Loonies call-in show following each game. All Condors games can be heard live at www.foxsports970am.com, or you can listen on your smartphone by downloading the iheartradio app. All the games are also streamed live online through America One.
