Condors thump the Wranglers 5-2
LAS VEGAS – Newcomer LW J.D. Corbin scored twice and added an assist to lead the Bakersfield Condors to a 5-2 preseason win over the Las Vegas Wranglers at Orleans Arena Thursday night. The same two clubs will meet Saturday night at Rabobank Arena in the preseason finale.
Neither team lit the lamp in the opening frame, and Las Vegas held the 9-7 lead in shots. G Peter Hirsch got the start in net for the Condors and went the distance, while the Wranglers played both of their goaltenders in the game, electing to start G Michael Ouzas. Moments later F Jean-Marc Beaudoin set up RW Erick Lizon for a tally to make it 5-0. The Wranglers touched up Hirsch for a pair of third period goals, but the Condors netminder picked up the win with a 27-save effort.
