Condors Unveil 15th Anniversary Logo for 2012-13
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors will celebrate their 15th season of hockey in Condorstown in 2012-13 and are proud to unveil a special 15th anniversary logo for the season.
The logo, designed by Condors Director of Marketing and Creative Services Ryan Hanson, features the easilyrecognizable Condors bird head situated on top of the number 15. Underneath is a ribbon with the dates 1998, the team’s first season, and 2013, the team’s 15th season. Also on the ribbon is the slogan “Years of Family Fun,” which speaks to the organization’s commitment to excellence in the community and providing affordable family entertainment in Bakersfield.
“We’re really excited for the 15th season of hockey in Condorstown,” said Condors Team President Matthew Riley. “This new logo will be used as a shoulder patch on our new alternate jersey which will be unveiled later in the summer, on marketing materials, and featured on team merchandise.”

One of the most successful minor league hockey organizations in existence today, the Condors have established a tradition of success both on and off the ice. On the ice, the team is 462-432-25-87 (.515 win%), and have made the playoffs in 12 of their 14 seasons. The success on the ice includes three straight 40-win seasons from 2004-05 to 2006-07 and back-to-back ECHL Pacific Division Championships in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
The organization has become a staple in the community under the slogan “This Is Condorstown.” A three-time winner of the Beautiful Bakersfield Award, given to those that have enhanced the quality of life in Bakersfield, the Condors have raised over $4.3 million for local non-profits through their charitable endeavors.
The team has also been recognized by both the West Coast Hockey League (WCHL) and the ECHL for their achievements. In 1999, the Condors received the WCHL Organization of the Year Award and in 2011, they were recognized with the ECHL’s Award of Excellence.
Overall, the team has won eight front office awards from the ECHL in the last eight seasons while garnering 25 weekly and monthly player awards, seven post-season All-Team selections, 17 all-star game participants, and advancing 10 players to the National Hockey League.
