Condors Weekly: Climbing the standings with wins in Idaho

CONDORSTOWN – The Bakersfield Condors took two wins in three games on the road last week in Idaho, vaulting them out of the Western Conference basement and into a tie for 7th place. For the third time in the last four weeks they powered through a 2-1-0-0 week, and now sit tied with Las Vegas – their opponent on Thursday when they emerge from the Christmas break.

They are back on home ice this week with Kids In Free Night on Dec. 26 (vs. Las Vegas Wranglers) and an appearance by Thor on Dec. 29 (vs. Idaho Steelheads). Bakersfield sits four points behind San Francisco for 6th place, but has three games in hand on the Bulls.

Last Week: Getting noisy in Boise
The Condors are traveling home from Boise, Idaho today, and are bringing with them two victories they acquired in a three-game series against the Steelheads.
Newly assigned G Laurent Brossoit picked up a shutout and four different players lit the lamp for Bakersfield on Wednesday night in the series opener. The Steelheads took Saturday night’s game 3-1, and in the process became the first team in four ECHL games to score on Brossoit.
On Sunday, C Joel Broda scored the game winner early in the third frame of a 4-3 decision, and G Tyler Bunz won his fourth straight game.
