Eagles hang on to defeat Condors, 3-2
Bakersfield jumped on the board first with a power-play goal from F Jacob Lagace at the 10:15 of the opening period. Lagace provided a screen in front of the net and tipped a D Scott Enders shot past G Adam Brown to give the Condors a 1-0 lead. It would not last long though as Colorado capitalized on a power play of their own, 44 seconds later, when F Kevin Ulanski found room at the side of the net and beat G Brian Stewart through the pads to tie the game at 1-1. The Eagles took a 2-1 lead at 13:43 with their second power-play goal, this time off the stick of F Joey Sides. Colorado outshot the Condors, 19-8.
In the second period, the Eagles extended their lead to 3-1 when F Kevin Ulanski potted his second of the night at the 3:38 mark. The Condors clawed back to within one at 3-2 when F Peter Boyd found a loose puck in the slot and rattled one past Brown at 13:57 of the frame. Shots were even at nine each.
