Eagles rally past Condors, 5-3
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Colorado Eagles (24-16-1-4, 53pts) rallied with three late goals to defeat the Bakersfield Condors (10-32-4-1, 25pts) at Rabobank Arena Saturday night.
A back and forth second frame yielded just one tally, as F Kevin Ulanski picked up a loose puck and rifled home a shot over G Bryan Pitton to tie it up at 2-2. Condors led in shots 10-9 in the period, but G Kyle Jones was equal to the task.
Bakersfield regained the lead 4:46 into the final period, with F Peter Boyd netting his ninth of the season to make it 3-2. But after that, the Eagles reeled off three unanswered tallies to cruise past the Condors. All three goals were set up by F Kevin Ulanski.
Condors Droppings: LW Jesse Gimblett went down injured in the second period and did not return… F Tyler Helfrich had two assists on the night… G Bryan Pitton stopped COL F Michael Forney on a first period penalty shot. It was the first penalty shot allowed by the Condors this season… The Space Jerseys tonight raised $13,850.
