A REMATCH
Tonight is a rematch of last year’s first round, best-of-3, which Bakersfield swept in two games.
HEAD TO HEAD
Bakersfield was 1-2-1 against Abbotsford this season, using three goaltenders over those four games. The Condors won the most recent matchup, 3-1 at home on March 22.
PLAYOFF PICKS
Calvin Pickard won 23 games during the regular season, his fifth 20-win AHL campaign. Tonight begins just his second Calder Cup journey, having played three games with the Toronto Marlies on their 2018 Calder Cup championship.
CAPTAIN CONDOR
Brad Malone has played the most playoff games with Bakersfield, amassing 21 over the team’s last three appearances. He has 20 points (9g-11) in those games.
LETHAL LAVOIE
Raphael Lavoie scored 25 goals in the regular season, third most for a Condors AHL player.
FEELING PHILP
Noah Philp led all team rookies with 19 goals on the year, including two in the season finale.
GRIFF GOES NORTH
Seth Griffith leads the Condors in scoring against Abbotsford with four points (1g-3a) in four games.
BACK IN THE POSTSEASON
This is the fourth consecutive postseason appearance for the Condors, who have won at least a playoff series in each of their other three trips.
WORKING OVERTIME
After losing their first-ever Calder Cup Playoffs overtime game (4OT v San Diego, 2019), the Condors have won six straight overtimes in the postseason.
SCOUTING ABBOTSFORD
The Canucks received Eddie Shore Award d-man Christian Wolanin, Noah Juulsen, and first round pick Filip Johansson from Vancouver for their playoff push. Wolanin led the AHL in scoring by a d-man despite missing nearly a third of the season in the NHL. Rookie Linus Karlsson led the team in goals with 24.
