GAME PREVIEW: Condors host San Jose in preseason

The Bakersfield Condors host the San Jose Barracuda in preseason action at 6 p.m. on Dignity Health Home Ice at Mechanics Bank Arena. There is no broadcast of either tonight’s game nor tomorrow’s 6 p.m. puck drop in San Jose. Doors open at 5 p.m. tonight (4:45 p.m. for Condors365 Members)

All tickets in the lower level are $20 and all upper level tickets are $15 for this game only.

LOVE THE DRAKE

Drake Caggiula is expected to be in the lineup tonight. The 29-year old turned pro with the Edmonton Oilers in 2016 and played three seasons in the organization. Last year, his only season in the American Hockey League, the Pickering, Ontario native had 22 goals and 31 assists for 53 points in 65 games.

X MARKS THE SPOT

Xavier Bourgault is also expected to be in the lineup tonight after a 13-goal rookie campaign a season ago. He scored twice in NHL preseason action on Monday in an Oilers win over Seattle.

NEW FACE UP FRONT 

2021 6th round pick Matvey Petrov is expected to make his Condors preseason debut. The Moscow, Russia native had 93 points (27g-66a) in 65 games with North Bay in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) last season.
