GAME PREVIEW presented by Rodriguez & Associates

The Bakersfield Condors put a three-game winning streak on the line tonight in San Diego.

LAST TIME OUT

Bakersfield completed a perfect 3-0 week with a 6-3 win in Henderson. Phil Kemp and Carter Savoie each scored twice for the Condors who put up six goals for the first time this season. San Diego shut out Henderson on the road, 7-0 on Tuesday.

DEFENSE TURNED OFFENSE

Both Michael Kesselring (5) and Phil Kemp (3) are in the top three among AHL d-men in goals scored.

PICK-IN IT UP

Tonight’s expected starter, Calvin Pickard, has won two straight. In those wins, the Winnipeg, Manitoba native stopped 64 of 69 shots. He stopped 22 of 23 in Saturday’s second period alone.

SAVOIE FINDS THE SCORESHEET

Carter Savoie scored his first pro goal on Saturday and followed it up with another later in the second period. He is one of three 20-year old forwards on the team along with Xavier Bourgault and Ty Tullio.

PENALTY FILLED AFFAIR

The 114 combined penalty minutes on Saturday were the second most in the Condors AHL era. Only the 141 against San Diego back in October of 2015 featured more.

FINISH STRONG

Bakersfield is +6 in third period goal differential this season, scoring 14 and only allowing eight.
