GAME PREVIEW presented by Rodriguez & Associates
The Bakersfield Condors host the San Diego Gulls for the first of eight meetings on the season.
LAST TIME OUT
Xavier Bourgault scored his third goal in two games, but the Condors comeback fell short on Saturday, 4-3 in Ontario. Alex Peters and Michael Kesselring had the other tallies for Bakersfield who finished a five-game road trip at 2-3-0.
BOUR-GOAL
Bourgault extended his point streak to four games with his goal on Saturday. He has five points (3g-2a) over that stretch and is t-7th in goals by a rookie on the season
KESSELRING LEADS ALL BLUELINERS
Michael Kesselring’s four goals paces all AHL d-men. The third-year blueliner had three goals in 76 AHL games entering the season.
TIGHT ONES
Five of the Condors first six games have been decided by just a goal.
WELCOME BACK
Vinny Desharnais and Raphael Lavoie are both expected to make their season debuts tonight. Desharnais signed an NHL contract in March and led the AHL in plus/minus at +36 last season. Lavoie had 13 goals and 26 points in 56 games with Bakersfield a year ago.
WHERE TO?
Bakersfield is home Friday at 7 p.m. against Henderson. Friday’s game is the first $2 Beer Night with Michelob Ultra and Bud Light Seltzer just $2 through the end of the first intermission. Buy tickets here.
