James Hamblin’s highlight reel third period goal proves to be the game winner.
The Bakersfield Condors (3-1-0, 6pts) took the opener from the Tucson Roadrunners (3-2-0, 6pts) by a 4-1 scoreline on Friday. James Hamblin (2nd) scored a highlight reel goal in the third period to give the Condors the lead for good. The game was a special teams affair with 13 combined power plays, but the Condors penalty kill was able to kill off four of five penalties.
Ben Gleason added an assist to extend his point streak to four games to start the season. Max Wanner (1st) notched an empty-net goal for his pro tally.
