A wise person once said “winning solves everything.” I’m not sure it solves everything, but hey, it’s 75 degrees outside and the Condors have won three straight, so life is good.
You may enjoy seasons, and that’s fine (I’ll take 75 in March any day), but as I’ll remind you, it’s my blog (thanks to Grapevine MSP), and I’ll do what I want.
Now for the blog…
Last night’s “Michelob ULTRA” Moments of the Game tell the story of a confident Condors team who did not let an impromptu 11-day lay-off affect their game. The team has now outscored the opposition 14-1 over the last three games and has 3+ scoring lines firing on all cylinders.
You can win a #18 Josh Currie game-worn, signed orange jersey for just $10 this Saturday. We’ll pick the winner during the second intermission. Click the button to purchase your raffle tickets and check out the upcoming jersey raffles. All of them are open for ticket purchases now and ANYONE, ANYWHERE can win.
A big part of the team’s success has been the play of goaltender Stuart Skinner. He’s gone nearly 150 minutes without allowing a goal, second longest for a Condors AHL goalie. But, as you see from his post-game comments last night, he’s quick to credit the work being done in front of him by a group of guys allowing fewer than 25 shots against a night.
Skinner also displayed his new mask for the first time last night. I like it. It’s a matte finish, which I think I prefer over the traditional polish/glossy, but who asked me?
Saturday is the return of Condors hockey to 23 ABC for our fourth of six broadcasts. It’s also the first matinee game of the season, beginning at 3 p.m. If you asked my preference, and you didn’t, I would take 7 p.m. games and fans in the building on a Saturday night. But, a 3 p.m. and home before dinner sounds just as good. Hey, it’s the “new normal” after all.

Ventured out to the coast during the 11-day break and figured I couldn’t leave you without some food content.
Until next time Condorstown…
