LAVOIE HEADS TO EDMONTON

Broberg joins Condors as team prepares for Coachella Valley Saturday at home

Raphael Lavoie has been recalled by the Edmonton Oilers and in a corresponding move, Philip Broberg has been assigned to Bakersfield.

Lavoie, 23, leads the Condors in scoring with seven points (4g-3a) in five games this season. Last season, he led the team in goals with 25. Should he make his NHL debut with Edmonton, Lavoie would become the 20th Condors player in the AHL era to make his NHL debut and the 16th since 2018-19 alone. He is the reigning AHL Player of the Week.

Broberg, 22, has played eight games with Edmonton this season. In 38 career AHL games with Bakersfield, the Swedish d-man has 27 points (6g-21a).

Bakersfield is off to its best start in AHL history and has the second highest points percentage in the AHL. The team hosts Coachella Valley at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Click here for tickets.
