MARODY NAMED AHL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced today that C Cooper Marody has been named CCM / AHL Rookie of the Month for January. Marody tied for the rookie scoring lead in the month with his teammate LW Tyler Benson and had 13 points (3g-10a) in 13 games. Bakersfield went 8-4-1 in the month of January and hosts Iowa tonight at 7 p.m. on an eight-game winning streak.
CCM/AHL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH – COOPER MARODY
- Tied for sixth in the AHL in scoring in the month of January with 13 points (3g-10a) in 13 games
- Registered a season-high seven game point streak (2g-10a) from January 9 – 21, including back-to-back three-point games on Jan. 16 and 18
- Currently tied for second on the Condors in scoring with 32 points (9g-23a) in 32 games
- Fifth in the AHL rookie scoring race
- Participated in the Lexus AHL All-Star Classic presented by MGM Springfield on Sunday and Monday (check out the highlights here)
- It is the first time a Condors player has received CCM / AHL Rookie of the Month honors
- In recognition of his honor, Marody will be presented with an etched crystal prior to an upcoming Condors home game
