- McDavid was in Bakersfield from January 25-29, 2016 to practice with the Condors as part of his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury
- In his first year, he was named the NHL Rookie of the Month three times and is one of three finalists for the NHL’s Calder Memorial Trophy given to the league’s top rookie
- Led all rookies and was third in the entire NHL with a 1.07 points per game average
