Minnesota assigns goaltender Josh Tordjman to the Condors
Bakersfield, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, host of the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Classic and ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, announced today that G Josh Tordjman (TORJ-man) has been reassigned to the Condors by Minnesota from Houston, the American League Affiliate of the Wild. The Condors have also acquired D Joey Ryan from the Elmira Jackals in exchange for future consideratios.
Tordjman, 25, is embarking on his fifth professional season with the bulk of his time being spent with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. He has also played in two games with the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL in 2008-09, and nine with the Phoenix Roadrunners in the ECHL in 2006-07. Tordjman has played in 175 AHL games in his career, beginning in 2006-07 during his rookie season. He has posted an 82-76-10 record while in the AHL, along with a 2.98 GAA and a .910 save percentage.
Before turning pro, Tordjman spent four full seasons and a portion of a fifth in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In his final season in the QMJHL in 2005-06, he won a QMJHL championship, had an 18-6-0 record, a 2.31 GAA, and .915 save percentage while with the Moncton Wildcats.
Tordjman joins Peter Hirsch as goaltenders on the Condors roster for the start of the season.
Ryan, 22, comes to Condorstown for his third year of professional hockey after splitting parts of the last two seasons with Toronto Marlies in the AHL, and Cincinnati and Reading of the ECHL. In 43 games in the AHL, Ryan has scored 12 points (3g, 9a) along with 46 PIM. He has also played in 52 games in the ECHL recording 16 points (4g, 12a) and 78 PIM.
While playing Major Junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey league, Ryan won QMJHL Championship with the Gatineau Olympiques in 2007-08, and also won a Memorial Cup along with being selected as the QMJHL Humanitarian of the Year in 2005-06 with the Quebec Remparts.
