Kelly Cup Playoffs: Alaska Crowned Western Conference Champs

After finishing as the #1 Seed going into the Kelly Cup Playoffs, the Alaska Aces rattled off 8 straight wins following a first round bye to punch their ticket to the Kelly Cup Finals. The Aces made short work of the Salmon Kings, winning in 4 straight, and now await the winner of the Eastern Conference match up between Kalamazoo and Wheeling.

After a split in the first two games in Kalamazoo, Wheeling took advantage of home ice and defeated the K-Wings 5-3 on Thursday. The series will continue on Saturday, with the Nailers leading 2 games to 1.
